classes and workshops provide ukulele enthusiasts with beginning,
intermediate, and advanced instruction. Our Ukulele groups
are not only entertaining, but also enhance a player’s
ability over time. Ukulele
Jam on Thursday nights at 6:30 has a consistent attendance of 50
or more players. Guests are also invited to play solos. Ukulele
Jam plays great standards from the last several decades of Popular
American Music.
The group is directed by Shirley Orlando,
and has been going strong for several years. Kolohe Ukulele Club
has an extensive repertoire of authentic Hawaiian songs. The
group meets on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, Tuesdays of every month. Kolohe
has been in existence for a number of years. The group
is managed by Kent Olson and directed by Uncle Henry Kamai. Uncle
Henry is a Southern California treasure, and has a wonderful
recording of his favorite Ukulele and Hawaiian tunes.
Island Bazaar has been
privileged to have workshop/concerts in store and has had the
likes of Kimo Hussey, James Hill, Lil’ Rev,
Steven Espaniola, Victoria Vox, and other well known artists
of ukulele fame.
Please join our ukulele
family any time. You’ll
soon discover that playing the ukulele is the best anti-depressant
of all! The only side effects are withdrawal symptoms when
you stop playing. Island Bazaar will greet you with a warm aloha
in a festive tropical setting.
Visitors may email Shirley Orlando
at shirley@ukuleleparadise.com for
more information. If
we know you are dropping in, we would love to make a fuss over
you. You may also Email for
