What’s
happening at Island Bazaar?
Our playing groups: Kolohe,
Surf City Strummers, and Ukulele Jam have been busy racking
up the gigs and lots of adoring fans!
KOLOHE - Under the direction of Uncle Henry Kamae performed
at the Ho’ Olau Lea in San Dimas and were told they were
better than ever before. I think so, too, and I’m
sure it was the malasadas that made us play so well. (They’re
kind of like donut holes, but even more delicious and warm and
wonderful. Please don’t ask if they have trans fats! I’m
sure they have that and everything more. Kolohe also has
played with Uncle Henry at Bob’s Ohana Restaurant in Gardena. Uncle
Henry usually plays on Friday nights so go there are scream for
him and his wonderful musicians. We can be their groupies! I
have directions here for Bob’s Ohana. Just Email
me and it’s yours. Kolohe will be playing for the
Southern California Ukulele Festival this year. KOLOHE meets at Island
Bazaar the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Tuesdays
of each month at 7PM to 9PM. Major Holidays excluded.
SURF CITY STRUMMERS meets
at Island Bazaar each Friday morning at 10:30. Major
holidays excluded.
UKULELE JAM meets at Island
Bazaar every Thursday at 6:30PM. Major
holidays excluded. Month of August at the beach.
