UKULELE LESSONS
Beginning ukulele starts Wednesday night (March 24th ) at 6:30 PM. The class is six weeks (one hour sessions) and costs $72.00. There are also some supplies needed; A good ukulele (we discount them for our students) the text - $5.95, a good music stand; $19.95, a tuner; $19.95, or capability of tuning, and a Ron Middlebrook chord chart, $2.95. The class moves quickly, and in six weeks you will learn (or at least I will teach you) 15-18 chords, a couple of strums styles and about 20 songs. BEYOND BEGINNER
This class is designed for folks who have taken the beginner class, but don’t feel quite ready for “prime time”. Also, if you play “some” ukulele, or took many years ago this is the class for you. We will simply play lots more songs, a few more chords, and a couple more strum styles to move you up to the next level. I will also explain playing techniques as they arise in the music. This is a “bridge” class between beginner and intermediate. This class is $72.00 for a six week hourly class. Class begins 7:30 PM on Wednesday, March 24th. INTERMEDIATE UKULELE
Class will begin on Saturday, April 10, at 11AM.
Learn strums; brush strum, triplet, 6/8, Olapa, Reggae, etc. Roman numeral chord recognition, Double Endings, Flourishes such as turns, slides, chromatic runs, syncopated strumming, note-reading, and finger picking styles. We will also be playing in three positions and much
more. At least one year of playing experience strongly recommended.
